Our Story

Founded in 2015 by a group of passionate advocates for women's rights, Woman Towards Light and Change A.C. began as a small initiative to address the educational gaps faced by women in rural Mexico.

What started with just 10 women in a single community has grown into a comprehensive organization serving over 500 women across 50+ communities throughout Mexico.

Our approach combines traditional education with practical skills training, ensuring that women not only gain knowledge but also develop the tools they need to create sustainable change in their lives and communities.

With over 15 years of experience in community development and women's rights advocacy, María Elena founded the organization with a vision to create lasting change.
